Today one bro reco me a sibei shiok wanton mee below his house. He say this is easily the top 3 wanton mee in Singapore.
It is located humbly within heartlands and 7 early 8 early already long queue. $3.50 comes in decent portion of noodles and generous servings of their char siew. There is 2 type of char siew in this world. The lean and dry type vs the fatty and juicy type. This belong to the fatty juicy. The char siew is roasted till the fatty parts disintegrated and merge with the meat and the surface becomes a slight charred texture machiam like molten lava.
One bite and the juice explodes in ur mouth, filling your mouth with the sweet char siew sauce. Then followed by the power-packed roast flavour with a tint of charcoal fragrance. Its machiam eating an offspring of satay and bak kua. The flavour is so gao and pang that it will take ur mind away and u will forget the existence of other things.
The noodle is also egg noodles. So it is very springy and QQ mahiam can make loreal commercial. Goes very well with the heavy flavoured char siew as it has a faint egg yolk taste.
Will definitely come again. Can see appear in newspaper and alot celebrity come eat one.
